I find the tips below work for me.
Eat the frog 🐸
Get your most important tasks done first thing in the morning (or in the evening for night owls), when your energy and mental bandwidth are at their highest.
Break tasks down 📋
Breaking complex tasks into tiny, actionable steps removes the barrier to taking the first step.
Interstitial journaling ✍️
It helps you stay focused, or re-centre quickly before you wander off too far for too long.
The Do Something Principle 🤸
Do something, anything!
Purge your physical and digital surroundings 🧹
Owning things doesn’t make you rich; it weighs you down. Put your house to sleep before bed, so you wake up to a distraction-free environment.
Stare at one thing for 60 seconds 👀
Re-centre when your inner clarity is disturbed.
Confront your distractions before working 📦
Move them out of sight.
